On October 30, 2015 Madison Academy staff and students headed out to serve at various locations around Nashville.  The first group headed out to 2nd Harvest Food Bank where they sorted and packaged food for the hungry around Nashville.  Another group headed to the largest thrift store in Middle Tennessee where they donate 100% of their profits to various organizations around the globe.  Students sorted the donated merchandise.  A third group took to the streets, literally, and cleaned up the trash on Neely’s Bend, which Madison Campus has adopted.  Keeping our own neighborhood clean and in order is a top priority.  The final group went down to Nashville Rescue Mission to serve lunch to the homeless.

Our students worked hard and were praised by each of the organizations where they served.  They were able to impact people’s lives in ways that may not even realize it at the time.    The greatest thing to see is young people excited to serve others.  Madison Academy has a student body which exhibits this idea every time a service opportunity comes around.
